What an experience this was; on a professional and personal level. It was so nice to meet this wonderful group from DeForest. They have been touched by cancer in some way, and are doing what they can to fight back.
What hit me the hardest was the emotion of the family during the opening ceremony. I usually don’t cry when I am behind my camera, but there wasn’t a dry eye in the house for this one.

WOW!…. simply amazing experience, photographs will be available in about 3 weeks.

No matter what you think you might know, you can always learn more. I learn something new every time I pick up my camera. Some days I make a point of it. With that thought, a few weeks ago my wife and I participated in a posing class. It was an enjoyable experience meeting some additional photographers and collaborating to get some interesting and fun shots.
Our models were very patient, and I thank them all for allowing the group to photograph them. Here are some of my favs from the afternoon…
